WWF Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid), spoke about their Title defence against The Islanders (Haku & Tama), at 'Royal Rumble'. Gene Okerlund interviewed WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, about his Title defence against "King" Harley Race, at 'SNME'. Announced for 'SNME' were The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda) & Sam Houston v Demolition (Ax & Smash) & The Magnificent Muraco, and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake v Greg "The Hammer" Valentine.
"King" Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned "The Rebel" Dick Slater.
In 'Piper's Pit', with"Rowdy" Roddy Piper, WWF President, Jack Tunney, presented WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, with a trophy to commemorate three years as WWF Champion. Andre The Giant emerged to congratulate Hogan.
