Episode 107 - Wrestling Challenge - February 24th

 

 

This week on 'Wrestling Challenge':

The Bushwhackers (Luke & Butch) defeated "Playboy" Buddy Rose & "Crippler" Rip Oliver, when Butch pinned Rose.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund presented his 'WrestleMania Report'. WWF Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) defending their Titles against Demolition (Ax & Smash) has been confirmed for the show. The Bulldogs spoke about the match.

Hercules (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Jim Merkle, when Merkle submitted to the Argentine Backbreaker Rack.

Gene Okerlund (with "Lord" Alfred Hayes) presented The Magnificent Muraco & Mr. Fuji performing a stand-up comedy routine.

Ravishing” Rick Rude cut a promo directed at WWF Intercontinental Champion, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, saying he wants his Title and his woman.

The New Dream Team (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Dino Bravo, with Jimmy Hart) defeated Jerry Allen & D.J. Peterson, when Allen submitted to Valentine's Figure Four Leglock.

Vince McMahon conducted a sit-down interview with "Adorable" Adrian Adonis & Jimmy Hart. Adonis' appearance on 'Piper's Pit', with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & "Cowboy" Bob Orton, was recapped, and Adonis confirmed that he is gay.

Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka pinned Brian Costello.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney announced 'Saturday Night's Main Event', on NBC, on Saturday, March 14th. Sam Houston will face "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. DiBiase (with Virgil) spoke about the match.

The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk) defeated The Shadows, when Zenk got the pinfall.

Next week - "The Rebel" Dick Slater & Sam Houston v "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & "Cowboy" Bob Orton.

Results from the WWF in Madison Square Garden:

Gorilla Monsoon and "Lord" Alfred Hayes are on commentary.

"Adorable" Adrian Adonis (with Jimmy Hart) defeated "Leaping" Lanny Poffo, by sumbmission, with Goodnight Irene.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper (with "Cowboy" Bob Orton) pinned Rick Martel.

"Lord" Alfred Hayes interviewed The Magnificent Muraco.

In a Handicap Match, Andre The Giant defeated The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell), by pinning Brunzell.

Gorilla Monsoon interviewed Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (with Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy).

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff pinned Nikolai Volkoff (with Slick). After the match, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & "Cowboy" Bob Orton attacked Orndorff. WWF Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) made the save.

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat pinned "The Natural" Butch Reed (with Slick).

Mean” Gene Okerlund interviewed WWF Intercontinental Champion, “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

Demolition (Ax & Smash, with Mr. Fuji) defeated The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart), when Smash pinned Neidhart, after Mr. Fuji's hit Neidhart with a cane. Demolition will now challenge the WWF Tag Team Champions at 'WrestleMania'.

Ken Resnick interviewed WWF Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid).

WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Macho Man" Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth), retained his Title when he pinned "The Natural" Butch Reed (with Slick).

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.

WWF Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid), retained their Titles by defeating Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan), when Kid pinned Studd. The Bulldogs will now defend their Titles against Demolition at 'WrestleMania'.

Episode 105 - Superstars - February 19th

 

This week on 'Superstars':

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat pinned Brian Costello.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund presented his 'WrestleMania Report', featuring the contract signing for the WWF Championship Match, between WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, and Andre The Giant.

"King" Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Terry Gibbs.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper (with "Cowboy" Bob Orton) spoke about "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, warning him to watch his back.

On the way to the ring for his match, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan came face to face with "King" Harley Race, who was departing following his match. A scuffle ensued, with Duggan knocking Race to the ground.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan pinned Black Bart.

In 'The Body Shop', Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat was Jesse "The Body" Ventura's guest. Ventura accused Steamboat of having a bad year when he was last in the WWF, but Steamboat said as long as he has the people behind him, things are going well.

The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell) defeated The Shadows, when Blair got the submission with a Sleeper.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney ran down this weekend's card in Madison Square Garden. Demolition (Ax & Smash) spoke about The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart), and challenging for the WWF Tag Team Titles at 'WrestleMania'. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed The Magnificent Muraco. Ken Resnick interviewed WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (with Andre The Giant) spoke about The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell), WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, and WWF Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid). Mooney announced that "Leaping" Lanny Poffo will face "Adorable" Adrian Adonis. Gene Okerlund interviewed Poffo, and Adonis spoke about the match. The MSG card in full is:

Haku (with Bobby "The Brain Heenan) defeated George South, when South submitted to the Tongan Death Grip.

There was a vignette on "The Natural" Butch Reed.

"Adorable" Adrian Adonis & Jimmy Hart were the guests on 'Piper's Pit', with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & "Cowboy" Bob Orton.

Rick Martel defeated The Brooklyn Brawler, by submission, with the Boston Crab.

There was a video following The Magnificent Muraco & Mr. Fuji, as they went to Hollywood in search of a talent agent.

The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) pinned Omar Atlas.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney detailed this weekend's show in Madison Square Garden. The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) spoke about their match against Demolition (Ax & Smash). Slick spoke about "The Natural" Butch Reed's match against Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, and Nikolai Volkoff's match with "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff. Mooney announced that in a Handicap Match, Andre The Giant will face The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell). The Killer Bees spoke about the match.

"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) defeated "Pistol" Pez Whatley, when Whatley submitted to the Million Dollar Dream.

"Leaping" Lanny Poffo pinned "Crippler" Rip Oliver.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund presented his 'WrestleMania Report', announcing that next week on 'Superstars', there will be a contract signing for the WWF Championship Match, between WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, and Andre The Giant.

Bret "Hitman" Hart defeated Shadow #2, by submission, with the Sharpshooter.

There was a profile of the “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase taunting fans at ringside.

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake defeated Dusty Wolfe, by submission, with the Sleeper.

There was a profile of Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and his martial arts training.

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart pinned Shadow #1.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney detailed the February 22nd show, in Madison Square Garden. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (with Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy), spoke about the WWF Tag Team Champions, The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid). Ken Resnick interviewed WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, about his Title defence against The Magnificent Muraco. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (with "Cowboy" Bob Orton) spoke about Rick Martel, and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff. Ken Resnick interviewed "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, about his match against match against Nikolai Volkoff, but Orndorff was preoccupied with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. It was announced that The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) will face Demolition (Ax & Smash), with the winners receiving a WWF Tag Team Title shot at 'WrestleMania'.

Episode 85 - Superstars - December 25th

 

This week on 'Superstars':

We opened with a recap of Hulk Hogan winning the WWF Championship from The Iron Sheik, in Madison Square Garden, on January 23, 1984. Sheik and WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, each spoke about their match tonight.

Junkyard Dog pinned The Brooklyn Brawler.

Craig DeGeorge interviewed "Outlaw" Ron  Bass.

The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) defeated The Shadows, when Neidhart got the pinfall.

There was advert for 'Royal Rumble'.

"Leaping" Lanny Poffo pinned Jim Merkle.

Ken Patera cut a promo.

The Islanders (Haku & Tama, with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated The Young Stallions (Paul Roma & Jim Powers), when Powers submitted to Haku's Tongan Death Grip.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney detailed 'WrestleFest', tomorrow night, at the Superdome, in New Orleans. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (with "Cowboy" Bob Orton) spoke about their match against WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, and Andre The Giant. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka each spoke about their Cage Match. Ken Resnick interviewed Junkyard Dog about his match against "The Natural" Butch Reed.

WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, retained his Title when he pinned The Iron Sheik (with Slick).
