Episode 134 - Superstars - May 14th

 


This week on 'Superstars':

WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Ravishing" Rick Rude (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Siva Afi. After the match, Bobby Heenan selected a woman from the crowd for Rude to kiss.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney detailed the upcoming Spectrum show in Philadelphia, on Saturday, May 30th. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan spoke about "Macho Man" Randy Savage, addressing Savage's pursuit of WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, and Savage's upcoming match against "King" Harley Race. Junkyard Dog v "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase was announced for the show. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed JYD.

The Fabulous Rougeau Bros. (Jacques & Raymond, with Jimmy Hart), defeated Duane Gill & Jake Milliman, when Raymond pinned Milliman.

There was footage of "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) humiliating fans at ringside, narrated by DiBiase himself.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan pinned Goldie Rogers.

The Honky Tonk Man & Jimmy Hart cut a promo.

There was a graphic for 'King of The Ring', coming to pay-per-view, on Sunday, June 28th.

Killer Khan (with Mr. Fuji) pinned Jim Powers.

Rick Martel defeated Tama (with Haku & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan), when Tama was disqualified after Haku entered the ring and attacked Martel. As both Islanders attacked Martel, Tito Santana, who was providing Spanish language commentary, made the save for Martel, and ran off The Islanders.

Episode 133 - Wrestling Challenge - May 13th

The Young Stallions (Paul Roma & Jim Powers) defeated The Shadows, when Paul Roma got the pinfall.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney spoke about the upcoming show in The Spectrum in Philadelphia, on Saturday, May 30th. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed The Magnificent Muraco about Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. "Macho Man" Randy Savage v "King" Harley Race was announced for the show. Okerlund interviewed Savage.

Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka pinned Brian Costello.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "Cowboy" Bob Orton, who spoke about "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, and about joining up with Mr. Fuji.

There was a graphic advert for 'King of The Ring', on Sunday, June 28th, on pay-per-view. Gorilla Monsoon announced that qualifying matches for the 'King of The Ring' tournament will take place on 'Wrestling Challenge' and 'Superstars' in the coming weeks. Last year's winner, "King" Harley Race, is automatically seeded in the tournament.

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart pinned Big Ron Shaw.

In 'The Snake Pit', with Jake "The Snake" Roberts, the guest was "Outlaw" Ron Bass, who spoke about "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan.

Hercules (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Omar Atlas, when Atlas submitted to a Full Nelson. "Leaping" Lanny Poffo joined Gorilla Monsoon on commentary for this match, and spoke about his match with Hercules, this Saturday night, in Madison Square Garden.

Ken Resnick interviewed “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff, who spoke about, and challenged, “Cowboy” Bob Orton.


The Bushwhackers (Luke & Butch) defeated Terry Gibbs & Rusty Brooks, when Butch pinned Gibbs.

The Islanders (Haku & Tama) & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan were interviewed onstage by Craig DeGeorge. They taunted and mocked Rick Martel.

"Adorable" Adrian Adonis (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Mario Mancini, by submission with Goodnight Irene.

There was a recap of a sit-down interview between Vince McMahon and "Adorable" Adrian Adonis (with Jimmy Hart), including Adonis's Febraury 18th appearcance on 'Piper's Pit', with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & "Cowboy" Bob Orton.

The Killer Bees ("Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell & B. Brian Blair) defeated Goldie Rogers & Charlie Fulton, when Brunzell pinned Fulton.
