"Leaping" Lanny Poffo pinned Brian Costello.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed The Magnificent Muraco, who spoke about the Royal Rumble Match.
"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff (with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper) pinned Tim Horner.
In the 'Event' Centre', Sean Mooney detailed 'Royal Rumble' and 'Saturday Night's Main Event'. WWF President, Jack Tunney, announced that at 'Royal Rumble', "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff will challenge for the WWF Championship. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, who spoke about his Title defence against "King" Harley Race, this Saturday night. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine each spoke about their match. Okerlund interviewed Hercules about his match against Ken Patera.
Hercules & "King" Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated The Young Stallions (Paul Roma & Jim Powers), when Race pinned Roma.
In 'Piper's Pit' with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, WWF President, Jack Tunney, presented Andre The Giant with a trophy to mark his fifteen year unbeaten career. WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, emerged to congratulate Andre. Andre left abruptly.
