The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) defeated The Shadows, when Neidhart got the pin. During the match, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (with The Islanders, Haku & Tama) cut an inset promo, on The Hart Foundation.
 
"Mean" Gene Okerlund narrated a hype package for 'SummerSlam', highlighting The Hart Foundation v The Islanders, Jake "The Snake" Roberts v The Honky Tonk Man, and Powers of Pain (Warlord & Barbarian) v The New Dream Team (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Dino Bravo). There was a recap of The Honky Tonk Man & Jimmy Hart attacking Jake "The Snake" Roberts, with a guitar, on The Snake Pit. Billy Red Lyons interviewed Roberts.
 
King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Denny Brown.

There was a recap of the Steel Cage WWF Intercontinental Title Match between Muraco and Snuka, in Madison Square Garden, on October 17th, 1983. Paul Orndorff spoke about Rick Rude.

"The Natural" Butch Reed (with Slick) pinned Koko B. Ware.

 "Mean" Gene Okerlund narrated a hype package for 'SummerSlam', highlighting Junkyard Dog v "The Natural" Butch Reed, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat v "Adorable" Adrian Adonis, and The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) v The Islanders (Haku & Tama). Junkyard Dog spoke about Butch Reed, Adrian Adonis spoke about Steamboat, and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (with The Islanders) spoke about The Hart Foundation.

 In a Handicap Match, One Man Gang defeated The Mulkey Bros. (Bill & Randy), by pinfall. During the match, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan cut an inset promo on Gang.

"King" Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned S.D. Jones.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts spoke about The Honky Tonk Man.

 In a Non-Title Match, WWF Tag Team Champions, Demolition (Ax & Smash, with Mr. Fuji), defeated two Local Talents. After the match, Demolition continued to assault their opponents. The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) made the save.

In a Non-Title Match, WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Ravishing" Rick Rude (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan), defeated a Local Talent. During the match, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff appeared onstage, and began posing towards Rude.

 Onstage with Craig DeGeorge, WWF Champion Hulk Hogan revealed "Macho Man" Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth) will be in Hogan's corner at 'SummerSlam', for his WWF Championship defense, against "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase.

The Islanders (Haku & Tama, with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan), defeated Billy Travis & David Haskins, when Haku pinned Haskins.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund delivered his 'SummerSlam Report'. Gene Okerlund interviewed Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (with King Kong Bundy), who spoke about Big John Studd. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat spoke about "Adorable" Adrian Adonis. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan spoke about One Man Gang. Strike Force (Tito Santana & Rick Martel) v "King" Harley Race & Hercules was announced for the show. Strike Force spoke about the match.

Junkyard Dog pinned Jose Estrada. During the match, in an inset promo, "The Natural" Butch Reed (with Slick) spoke about Junkyard Dog.
