Episode 149 - Superstars - June 25th

 

This week on 'Superstars', days ahead of 'King of The Ring':

"Adorable" Adrian Adonis (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Jake Milliman, by submission, with Goodnight Irene.

"Lord" Alfred Hayes narrated a promotion for 'King of The Ring', live on pay-per-view, this Sunday. Jimmy Hart (with The Fabulous Rougeau Bros., Jacques & Raymond) spoke about Strike Force (Tito Santana & Rick Martel).

Killer Khan (with Mr. Fuji) pinned Don Kernodle.

"Lord" Alfred Hayes narrated a promotion for 'King of The Ring', live on pay-per-view, this Sunday. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed The Magnificent Muraco. Ken Resnick interviewed Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.

Mike Rotunda pinned Nikolai Volkoff (with Slick).

The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart), "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (with Virgil), each spoke about 'King of The Ring'.

"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) defeated Mario Mancini, by submission, with the Million Dollar Dream.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney detailed the Madison Square Garden show, coming up on Saturday night, July 11th. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "The Natural" Butch Reed & Slick, about Reed's match with Mike Rotunda. Mooney announced that The Moondogs (Rex & Spot) will challenge the WWF Tag Team Champions.

The Mega-Powers (WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan & "Macho Man" Randy Savage, with Miss Elizabeth) defeated The Islanders (Haku & Tama, with WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Ravishing" Rick Rude), by disqualification, when Rude got into a brawl with Savage. Rude fled, with Savage in pursuit, as Hogan brawled with The Islanders.

Episode 148 - Wrestling Challenge - June 24th

 

This week on 'Wrestling Challenge', days away from 'King of The Ring':

Tim Horner defeated "Playboy" Buddy Rose, by submission, with a Sleeper.

"Lord" Alfred Hayes advertised 'King of The Ring', this Sunday, on pay-per-view, specifically WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan v "Adorable" Adrian Adonis. Adonis and Hogan each spoke about the match.

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake defeated Gary Royal, by submission, with a Sleeper.

"Lord" Alfred Hayes advertised 'King of The Ring', this Sunday, on pay-per-view, specifically WWF Tag Team Champions, Demolition (Ax & Smash) v The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell), and WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Ravishing" Rick Rude v "Macho Man" Randy Savage. The Killer Bees and Demolition & Mr. Fuji each spoke about their match. "Ravishing" Rick Rude & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage each spoke about their match.

Dino Bravo (with Jimmy Hart) pinned Siva Afi.

"Lord" Alfred Hayes advertised 'King of The Ring', this Sunday, on pay-per-view, specifically the 'King of The Ring' tournament. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and Hercules each spoke about the tournament and their Quarter-Final Match. Strike Force (Tito Santana & Rick Martel) v The Fabulous Rougeau Bros. (Jacques & Raymond) was announced for the show. Strike Force spoke about the match.

Junkyard Dog pinned Black Bart.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney announced the WWF will return to Madison Square Garden, in New York City, on Saturday, July 11th. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart will face King Kong Bundy. Ken Resnick interviewed Bundy. Mike Rotunda will face "The Natural" Butch Reed.

In a 'King of The Ring' Qualifying Match, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat pinned Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (with Jimmy Hart).

Next week - the debut of The Powers of Pain (Warlord & Barbarian).

Episode 147 - Superstars - June 18th

 


This week on 'Superstars':

"Leaping" Lanny Poffo pinned Charlie Fulton.

Next week on 'Superstars', The Mega Powers (WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan & "Macho Man" Randy Savage) will face The Islanders (Haku & Tama). Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (with The Islanders) spoke about the match, and addressed Strike Force (Rick Martel & Tito Santana). The Mega Powers (with Miss Elizabeth) spoke about the match, and about their matches at 'King of The Ring'.

The Young Stallions (Paul Roma & Jim Powers) defeated The Brooklyn Brawler & "Iron" Mike Sharpe, when Roma pinned Sharpe.

Onstage with Craig DeGeorge, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, paid a man in the crowd $200 to kiss Virgil's bare foot.

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart pinned "Crippler" Rip Oliver.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed The Bushwhackers (Luke & Butch), while they were eating sardines.

The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell) defeated Barry O & Gary Royal, when Blair pinned Royal.

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney detailed 'King of The Ring', coming up on pay-per-view, on Sunday, June 28th. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (with Virgil), each spoke about their 'King of The Ring' Quarter-Final Match. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, each spoke about their 'King of The Ring' Qualifying Match, which will take place on next week's 'Wrestling Challenge'.

In a 'King of The Ring' Qualifying Match, Hercules (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Koko B. Ware. Hercules will face Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake in  the 'King of The Ring' Quarter-Finals. Beefcake cut an inset promo during the match.

Next week - The Mega Powers v The Islander, and Mike Rotunda v Nikolai Volkoff.
