 This week on 'Superstars':

Koko B. Ware pinned "Crippler" Rip Oliver.

In pre-taped footage, Jesse "The Body" Ventura attempted to catch WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, as he arrived at the building, seeking an interview, but instead he encountered The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk) arriving, as they were swarmed by female fans.

The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk) defeated The Brooklyn Brawler & "Iron" Mike Sharpe, when Zenk pinned Brawler.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "King" Harley Race and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, regarding Race's Title shot against WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, at MSG, on September 14th.

Junkyard Dog pinned Pete Doherty.

It was announced that on September 28th at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, will defend his Title against the former Champion, The Honky Tonk Man.

WWF Tag Team Champion, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (with Jimmy Hart), pinned Paul Roma.

There was an advert for the September issue of WWF Magazine.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, who boasted and bragged.

WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Macho Man" Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth), pinned Jim Merkle in a non-title match.

It was announced that "The Rebel" Dick Slater will face One Man Gang at Madison Square Garden, on September 14th.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed The Bushwhackers (Luke & Butch), whilst they were eating.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Ken Patera, who spoke about his feud with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and The Heenan Family.

Ken Resnick interviewed WWF Tag Team Champions, The Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine), about their WWF Tag Team Championship Cage Match against The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid), on September 14th, in Madison Square Garden.

Ken Patera & "The Rock" Don Muraco defeated "Crippler" Rip Oliver & "Playboy" Buddy Rose, when Muraco pinned Oliver.

It was announced that Ken Patera &"The Rock" Don Muraco will face Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy, on September 14th, in Madison Square Garden.

Episode 44 - Superstars - August 28th

 


In happenings from this week's 'Superstars':

"The Rock" Don Muraco defeated Dusty Wolfe by submission. The crowd seemed unimpressed by Muraco's attitude.

We were shown stills from the WWF Tag Team Title Match between Champions, The Dream Team (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Brutus Beefcake) and The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid), at 'SummerSlam'.

Sean Mooney in the 'Event Centre' announced that the WWF would be returning to Madison Square Garden on Saturday, September 14th. Mooney announced that WWF Tag Team Champions, The Dream Team (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Brutus Beefcake), will defend their Titles against The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid), in a Steel Cage Match. The Dream Team spoke with Ken Resnick about the match. The British Bulldogs spoke about the match. Mooney also announced that at MSG, WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, will defend his Title against "King" Harley Race. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Bobby "The Brain" Heenan about the match.

The Killer Bees ("Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell & B. Brian Blair) defeated "Playboy" Buddy Rose & "Crippler" Rip Oliver, when Brunzell pinned Oliver.

There was an advert for the September issue of WWF Magazine.

Hercules (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Jose Luis Rivera.

We were shown stills from the WWF Intercontinental Title Match between Champion, The Honky Tonk Man, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, at 'SummerSlam'.

The Honky Tonk Man spoke about losing the WWF Intercontinental Championship to "Macho Man" Randy Savage at 'SummerSlam'.

 "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Slick, who spoke about his charge, One Man Gang.

The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) defeated George South & Italian Stallion, when Sika pinned Stallion.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed new WWF Intercontinental Champion, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who spoke about his Title victory over The Honky Tonk Man at 'SummerSlam'.

The Iron Sheik (with Slick) defeated Jim Merkle via submission with the Camel Clutch.

We were shown stills of "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's victory over Nikolai Volkoff at 'SummerSlam'.

We were shown footage from backstage after 'SummerSlam' went off the air - "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Andy Warhol, Joe Piscopo, Billy Squier, and Danny DeVito. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper interrupted and ranted, claiming to be the rightful WWF Champion.

The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) defeated Dick Murdoch & Matt Borne, when Smith pinned Murdoch.
