Episode 34 - Superstars - July 31st

 

 

 On this week's 'Superstars': 

"Outlaw" Ron Bass pinned George South.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund presented his 'SummerSlam Report'. WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, agreed to put his title on the line against "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Okerlund also announced the main event for 'Saturday Night's Main Event' on August 10th - a handicap match pitting Hulk Hogan & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka against "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, "Dr. D" David Schultz & "Cowboy" Bob Orton. Okerlund interviewed Hogan and Snuka about the match.

The Young Stallions (Paul Roma & Jim Powers) defeated "Playboy" Buddy Rose & "Crippler" Rip Oliver, when Roma pinned Rose.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "Macho Man" Randy Savage who spoke about WWF Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man.

There was an advert for the August issue of WWF Magazine.

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff (with "Cowboy" Bob Orton) pinned S.D. Jones.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Jimmy Hart and WWF Tag Team Champion, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, about The Dream Team's (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Brutus Beefcake) Tag Team Title defence against The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) at 'SummerSlam'.

 There was an advert for 'SummerSlam.

The Iron Sheik (with Nikolai Volkoff & Slick) was slated to face Dusty Wolfe, but as Nikolai Volkoff began to sing the Soviet National Anthem, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, who was being interviewed by Craig DeGeorge, entered the ring with a 2x4 and ran off Sheik, Volkoff, and Slick. Duggan then berated Sheik and Volkoff on the microphone, and vowed he would never allow Volkoff to sing the Soviet National Anthem.

Tim Horner pinned Brian Costello.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Ken Patera about "The Rock" Don Muraco, and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Patera challenged Heenan to meet him face to face for a conversation.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan pinned Black Bart.

Episode 33 - Wrestling Challenge - July 30th

 

 
 
On 'Wrestling Challenge' this week, as we head towards 'SummerSlam':
 
 The Iron Sheik (with Slick) defeated Jose Luis Rivera, when Rivera submitted to Sheik's Camel Clutch.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund presented his 'SummerSlam Report'. Confirmed for 'SummerSlam' is a WWF Tag Team Title match - WWF Tag Team Champions, The Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine) will defend their titles against The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid). Okerlund interviewed The Bulldogs about the match.

Dick Murdoch pinned Rusty Brooks.

WWF Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) spoke about the premiere of his new music video, which will happen on next week's 'Wrestling Challenge'.

"The Rebel" Dick Slater pinned Jim Merkle.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper accepted WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan's challenge to a match, but only if Hogan puts the WWF Title on the line.

The was an advert for the August issue of WWF Magazine.

Pez Whatley pinned Brian Costello.

There was an advert for 'SummerSlam'.

"King" Harley Race spoke about being a King, and delivered a warning to Hulk Hogan.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "The Rock" Don Muraco, who spoke about his disqualification loss to Big John Studd at the Boston Garden, his relationship with Ken Patera, and The Heenan Family.

The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk) defeated "Crippler" Rip Oliver & "Playboy" Buddy Rose, when Zenk pinned Oliver.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "Rowdy" Roddy Piper about his upcoming No Holds Barred Match against "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka.
 
 Davey Boy Smith pinned WWF Tag Team Champion, Brutus Beefcake (with Jimmy Hart).

"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka addressed "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

Dynamite Kid pinned WWF Tag Team Champion, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (with Jimmy Hart).
 
 "Dr. D" David Schultz spoke about his upcoming WWF Title Match with Hulk Hogan.

Big John Studd (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan & King Kong Bundy) defeated "The Rock" Don Muraco (with Ken Patera) via disqualification, when Patera entered the ring and attacked Studd. Patera had previously brawled with Bundy, and attacked Heenan.

WWF Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) spoke about his upcoming title defence against Junkyard Dog.

WWF Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) retained his title by pinning Junkyard Dog.

WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, spoke about his title defence against “Dr. D” David Schultz, and his desire to wrestle “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.

Gorilla Monsoon and Ken Rsenick recapped “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s attck on “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka.

 In a No Holds Barred Match, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper pinned "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka.

WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, retained his title by pinning "Dr. D" David Schultz (with "Cowboy" Bob Orton).

Episode 31 - Superstars - July 25th

 


 
 
On this week's 'Superstars':

"Mean" Gene Okerlund detailed the fallout from "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's attack on "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka on last night's 'Wrestling Challenge'. The WWF board considered fines and suspensions, but Snuka wants Piper in the ring. The WWF board has acquiesced to these demands, but only in an unsanctioned, no holds barred match. The match will take place this coming Saturday night in the Boston Garden.
 
 "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who reviewed footage of his attack on Snuka and gloated about it.

"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka spoke about Piper's attack on him, and vowed to get revenge in Boston.

"The Rock" Don Muraco pinned The Brooklyn Brawler.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, who spoke about his upcoming title defence against "Dr. D" David Schultz in the Boston Garden, and also said he wants to get his hands on "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

Nikolai Volkoff (with Slick) defeated Dusty Wolfe, when Wolfe submitted to Volkoff's Bearhug.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan came to the ring and sang the U.S. National Anthem, directed at Slick, Nikolai Volkoff, and The Iron Sheik, before leading the crowd in a chant of "U.S.A!"

In the 'Event Centre', Sean Mooney ran down this weekend's card at the Boston Garden. The card is as follows:

Episode 30 - Wrestling Challenge - July 24th

 


On 'Wrestling Challenge' this week:

The Fabulous Rougeau Bros. (Jacques & Raymond, with Jimmy Hart) defeated S.D. Jones  & Pez Whatley, when Jones submitted to Raymond's Sleeper Hold.

Gorilla Monsoon announced that this coming Saturday night at the Boston Garden, WWF Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man, will defend his title against Junkyard Dog. "Mean" Gene Okerlund spoke to JYD about the match.

Koko B. Ware pinned Dusty Wolfe

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed WWF Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart), about his upcoming title defence against Junkyard Dog.

Dino Bravo (with Jimmy Hart) pinned George South.

Craig DeGeorge interviewed WWF Tag Team Champion, Brutus Beefcake, about his upcoming match with Davey Boy Smith at the Boston Garden. Beefcake also spoke about his tag team partner, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine's match against Dynamite Kid.

There was an advert for 'SummerSlam'.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan pinned The Executioner.

 "The Rock" Don Muraco spoke about The Heenan Family, and challenged any Heenan Family member to a match in the Boston Garden. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan accepted on behalf of Big John Studd.

"Dr. D" David Schultz, "Cowboy" Bob Orton & "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff defeated The Young Stallions (Paul Roma & Jim Powers) & Sam Houston, when Schultz pinned Powers.

"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka was the guest on "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's 'Piper's Pit'. Piper insulted Snuka and then attacked him, smashing him in the head with a coconut, before a prolonged assault.

The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell) spoke about their upcoming match against The Fabulous Rougeau Bros. (Jacques & Raymond), at the Boston Garden.
