Episode 22 - King of The Ring - June 30th

 
 
 
Results from the 'King of The Ring' pay-per-view event:

In a King of The Ring tournament quarter-final match, "Handsome" Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Davey Boy Smith.

In a King of The Ring tournament quarter-final match, Dino Bravo (with Jimmy Hart) pinned Tito Santana.

In a King of The Ring tournament quarter-final match, Junkyard Dog pinned Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart.

In a King of The Ring tournament quarter-final match, Dynamite Kid and Bret "Hitman" Hart fought to a time limit draw, granting "Handsome" Harley Race a bye to the tournament final.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, who declared that "Handsome" Harley Race had as good as won the tournament.

Piper's Pit ("Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff & "Cowboy" Bob Orton, with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper) defeated The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk), when Orton pinned Martel who was distracted by Piper attacking Zenk at ringside. During the match Martel and Piper brawled.
 
Craig DeGeorge interviewed Mr. Fuji (with Kamala, Sika, and Kim Chee) regarding Kamala's WWF Title Match with Hulk Hogan later tonight.

In a King of The Ring tournament semi-final match, Junkyard Dog pinned Dino Bravo.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, regarding his upcoming title defence against Kamala.

WWF Tag Team Champions, The Dream Team (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Brutus Beefcake, with Jimmy Hart) retained their titles by defeating The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda), when Valentine pinned Windham following interference by Jimmy Hart.

In the King of The Ring tournament final, "Handsome" Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Junkyard Dog, after WWF Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man, attacked JYD.

There was an advert for 'SummerSlam' on August 25th, follwed by a recap of the Hulk Hogan and Kamala feud.

WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, pinned Kamala (with Mr. Fuji & Kim Chee) to retain his title.

On 'Superstars' this week:

"The Rebel" Dick Slater pinned The Brooklyn Brawler

 "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka spoke about his return to the WWF, and his upcoming match with "Playboy" Buddy Rose.

There was a feature on "Playboy" Buddy Rose's 'Blow Away Diet'.

Tito Santana pinned The Executioner.

There was music video on Slick.

Kamala (with Mr. Fuji & Kim Chee) pinned Sam Houston.

In The Event Centre, Sean Mooney ran down the 'King of The Ring' card. The card is as follows, beginning with the King of The Ring tournament:

Episode 20 - Wrestling Challenge - June 26th

 

 

On 'Wrestling Challenge' this week:
 
 Davey Boy Smith pinned Black Bart.

Dick Murdoch challenged Bret "Hitman" Hart to put up his spot in the King of The Ring Tournament in their match tonight.

Jesse "The Body" Ventura interviewed WWF Tag Team Champion, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, who spoke about The Dream Team's (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Brutus Beefcake) WWF Tag Team Title defence against The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda), at 'King of The Ring'.

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Luke via submission.

Bret "Hitman" Hart responded to Dick Murdoch and accepted his challenge.

The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk) beat Brian Costello & Jim Merkle, when Martel pinned Costello.

In Piper's Pit with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, and "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Piper accepted The Can-Am Connection's (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk) challenge, and Orndorff and Orton will face The Can-Am Connection at 'King of The Ring'.

Koko B. Ware pinned Pete Doherty.

There was a special music video on The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda).

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, who spoke about his WWF Title defence against Kamala at 'King of The Ring'.

Bret "Hitman" Hart defeated Dick Murdoch via submission to retain his place in the 'King of The Ring' tournament.

 "Playboy" Buddy Rose pinned S.D. Jones when he grabbed Jones's tights.

Sam Houston spoke about his match next week with Kamala.

Dino Bravo (with Jimmy Hart) pinned Italian Stallion. After the match, Bravo continued his assault on Stallion.
 
Ken Patera spoke about Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and The Heenan Family, admitting he can't defeat them alone.

Sam Houston pinned a Local Talent.

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan responded to Ken Patera, and addressed "Handsome" Harley Race's match with "The Rebel" Dick Slater.

One Man Gang (with Slick) pinned a Local Talent.
 
There was a video feature on Kamala.
 
There was an advert for 'King of The Ring', specifically WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan's Title defence against Kamala.

In 'The Body Shop' with Jesse "The Body" Ventura, Ventura revealed that Junkyard Dog will be the final participant in the King of The Ring tournament, and interviewed JYD. JYD spoke about the tournament and his intention to exact revenge on the WWF Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man.

"Handsome" Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned "The Rebel" Dick Slater.

Next week Sam Houston will face Kamala, and "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka will return.

Episode 18 - Wrestling Challenge - June 19th


 

On 'Wrestling Challenge' this week:

Piper's Pit ("Cowboy" Bob Orton, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff & "Dr. D" David Schultz) defeated Tim Horner, Barry Horowitz & Pez Whatley, when Orndorff pinned Horowitz.

 We saw footage from this past Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, of a brawl between Hulk Hogan and Kamala.

There was an advert for 'King of The Ring'.

Dick Murdoch pinned a Local Talent.

 There was a "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka promo about his return to the WWF.

Dynamite Kid pinned The Brooklyn Brawler.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda) about their upcoming WWF Tag Team Title match against The Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine), at 'King of The Ring'.

The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda) & The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell) defeated WWF Tag Team Champions, The Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine) & The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (Jacques & Raymond), when Windham pinned Raymond.

Hulk Hogan & "Macho Man" Randy Savage (with Elizabeth) spoke about tonight's main event.

"Handsome" Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Koko B. Ware.

The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & The Dynamite Kid) defeated The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff (with Slick), when Dynamite pinned Sheik.

"Dr. D" David Schultz (with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper) pinned Tito Santana.

Ken Patera defeated King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan & Big John Studd) by disqualification, when Studd attacked Patera.

Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (surprise partner) defeated Kamala & The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) when Hogan pinned Afa.
